Folk, acoustic, and a little bit more.

Rosewood Bridge plays fun up-tempo acoustic music with lead singer Brian Quigley on guitar and Jim Dunnigan on bass. Other musician friends sit in from time to time as well. We play our favorite acoustic songs, Irish and Americana songs, a little country, a little rock, and a few originals too.

Brian Quigley has been performing in the Western New York area for over ten years, first with Irish band The Dustmen and now with Rosewood Bridge. The music he plays and writes is inspired by the folk music and folk rock of the 1960’s, Irish and Scottish ballads, and by the music of contemporary singer songwriters with a dash of trop rock thrown in for good measure. He recorded two CD’s with The Dustmen and recently released his first solo CD entitled “Songs from an Open Heart." He recently was thrilled to have the chance to sing on stage with one of his heroes, Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul, and Mary.

Jim Dunnigan will be remembered by many long time Buffalo music listeners for being the bass player in one of Buffalo’s most successful 1960’s rock bands, The Tweeds. The Tweeds, who were inducted into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame in 1990, had a regional hit with “A Thing of the Past” and are still fondly recalled by many in the Western NY area. Jim, being an Irishman, eventually ran into Brian in an Irish pub. Joining up with The Dustmen for some gigs at the end of that band’s tenure, he eventually became a full time member of Rosewood Bridge laying down great bass lines and adding tight harmonies and backing vocals.

These days you can find Brian and Jim bringing the fun of Rosewood Bridge to pubs and parties all over Western NY. Rosewood Bridge is folk, acoustic, and a little bit more. You’ll likely know most of the lyrics, but if you don’t, you will by the time the song is over!
